One 30-minute physician visit per month (in-person or telemedicine) plus weekly check-ins through the Charm patient portal. Personalized guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, habits, and goal-setting — no medication management.
HMR nutrition products are available and work well alongside this program — but are never required. Ask Dr. Johnson whether HMR might be a good fit for you.

Specialized Testing

At My Dr Johnson, PLLC, tests are priced at cost plus a small processing fee — no profit markup. Testing is always paired with a physician visit: Dr. Johnson does not order a test without an accompanying appointment. Testing can be ordered at your initial consultation, a follow-up appointment, or your annual wellness visit, and results are reviewed at a subsequent visit. Visit fees are billed separately at standard rates.

My Phenome — Phenotype Testing for Obesity

My Phenome is a phenotype test specific to obesity. It identifies the biological factors contributing to your weight struggles and reveals which interventions — lifestyle, behavioral, or medication — are most likely to work for your unique physiology. Understanding your phenotype takes the guesswork out of treatment and points directly to what will work for you.

Genomic MD — Polygenic Risk Assessment (Genotype Testing)

Genomic MD analyzes millions of common genetic variants from a simple saliva sample to produce a polygenic risk score (PRS) — predicting your individual risk for developing a range of health conditions. Uncovering Rare Obesity is a specialized test designed to identify rare but treatable causes of obesity that are frequently missed in traditional medical care. For qualifying patients, this testing is offered at no charge. Testing may include a serum sample, mouth swab, or both. Eligibility requirements apply — ask Dr. Johnson at your consultation.

Medications

Prescription medications are one tool in your toolkit — not a requirement for every patient, and not limited to GLPs. Dr. Johnson will work with you to determine whether medication is appropriate for your goals and, if so, which type and dose is right for you. Medications are managed and adjusted over time as part of your ongoing care.

Compounded Medications

Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy and are customized for the individual patient. Reasons a patient may use a compounded medication include the need for a different titration schedule, tolerance issues, or other individual clinical needs. Please note that compounded medications are not FDA approved for safety or efficacy. Medication is mailed directly to your home for convenience."

Name-brand GLP-1 medications are available. Patients tend to have strong results on these medications, and Dr. Johnson can assist with prior authorizations and help you navigate the options. There are additional weight loss medications beyond those listed below — Dr. Johnson will discuss all appropriate options at your visit.
